What  is NCTE?

NCTE is an abbreviation, it is known as National Council for Teacher Education. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) was officially established as an autonomous body on 17 August 1995, following the enactment of the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993 (Act No. 73 of 1993). Before 1973, the NCTE functioned as an advisory organization, offering recommendations on teacher education to both the Central and State Governments.

Purpose  of NCTE

The main objective of NCTE is to implement the teacher education system all over India in a planned manner and achieve coordinated development through it, in addition to this, to determine the standards of teacher education system and matters related to education and to implement the set parameters. . in the entire country and To review these and give recognition to educational institutions.

Full Form  of NCTE

The full form of NCTE is National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). In Hindi language it is called National Teacher Education Council.

NCTE  Work

NCTE provides recognition to the educational institutions of India. While granting recognition, that educational institution has to fulfill all the standards set by NCTE, after that the delegation of NCTE examines it, only after this the educational institutions are given recognition. Apart from this, the curriculum of centrally recognized educational institutions is decided by NCTE only. Indian states can decide the syllabus only as per the guidelines of NCTE.
