Uttar Pradesh Agricultural Equipment Subsidy 

The Uttar Pradesh state government has decided to provide subsidy to farmers to encourage them to buy agricultural equipment. This will enable farmers to produce more crops with less labour. Currently, farming is being done in India using traditional methods, which harms both labour and crops. To increase crop production, the government has issued a notification to provide up to 80 percent subsidy or grant on agricultural equipment . Name of the scheme

The Uttar Pradesh government will provide up to 80% subsidy through  the “Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (NGT)” scheme . So that farmers remain motivated for farming. This will provide great help to those farmers whose crops have suffered heavy losses due to natural disaster.

Mission on Agriculture Mechanisation (NGT) Process

Under the Agricultural Mechanization Mission (AMM) scheme in Uttar Pradesh, groups of 10 farmers from each village are being encouraged to register in a chit fund. This allows them to apply for the purchase of tractors and agricultural equipment, the estimated cost of which is Rs 10 lakh per group. The state government will provide 80 per cent subsidy or grant of Rs 8 lakh, with the remaining Rs 2 lakh to be contributed by the farmers collectively. In addition, the group will also be provided a bank loan of Rs 1 lakh, which will have to be repaid from the savings made from the use of machines. This initiative is an attempt to improve agricultural productivity and improve the lives of farmers in Uttar Pradesh.

To make this scheme reach as many farmers as possible, the government has decided to provide benefits to two groups in each block. There are many blocks in all the districts. The benefits of the scheme will be provided according to the block. The state government has issued a notification asking farmers to apply by forming groups to avail the benefits of the scheme.

Amount of subsidy or grant on agricultural equipment

2. Power Tiller (8 HP or above) 40% of the prescribed price or maximum Rs. 45000, whichever is less.
3. Pumpsets (upto 7.5 HP) 50% of the prescribed price or maximum Rs. 10,000, whichever is less.
4. Zerotill Seed Drill, Sugar Cane Cutter Planter, Reaper, Binder 40% of the prescribed price or maximum Rs. 20,000, whichever is less.
5. Power Thresher 25% of the prescribed price or maximum Rs. 12,000, whichever is less.
6. Winnowing Fan, Chaff Cutter(Manually Operated) 25% of the prescribed price or maximum Rs. 2000, whichever is less.
7. Tractor Mounted Sprayer 25% of the prescribed price or maximum Rs. 4000, whichever is less.
8. Arrow Blast Sprayer 25% of the assessed price or maximum of Rs. 25,000, whichever is less.
9. Rotavators 50% of the prescribed price or maximum Rs. 30,000, whichever is less.
10. Seeddrill / Zerotill Seeddrill / Multicraft Planter / Ridge Furrow Planter 50% of the prescribed price or maximum Rs. 15,000, whichever is less.
11. Knapsack Sprayer / Foot Sprayer / Power Sprayer 50% of the prescribed price or maximum Rs. 3000, whichever is less.
12. Laser Land Leveler 50% of the assessed value or maximum of Rs. 1,50,000, whichever is less.
13. Pump Set 50% of the prescribed price or maximum Rs. 10,000, whichever is less.
14. Sprinkler Set 50% of the fixed price or maximum Rs. 75000 whichever is less. Bundelkhand region 90%

Online Registration Process 

  • For registration, you will first have to form a group of 10 farmers and get them registered with the chit fund company. After this, you will have to visit the official website of the Agriculture Department of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Now you will get the option of “Register Online / Link 2”, you have to click on it
  • Now a window will open in front of you in which these instructions will be given
  • Aadhaar Card – For identification of the beneficiary
  • Khatauni (not required for labour) – for identification of land
  • First page of the bank pass book containing the beneficiary details – for transfer of benefits directly into the account
  • Be careful – do not fill out the wrong information on the benefits of filing false information may be denied
  • Now you will be given the option of cancel below, you have to click on it, after this a new page will open in front of you, in which you have to select the district
  • Here you will be given links for farmer details, farmer land details, subsidized item details, bank details, person upload, alternate person upload
  • These six links will be given, you will have to click on each link and fill the related information
  • This type of information will also be given at the bottom of this page

  • Farmer brothers should select only that commodity/investment which is required
  • Registration is not a right to receive benefits. Benefit distribution eligibility is on “first come first serve” principle. Available quantity is payable only to the extent of grant amount.
