Information about Family Pension Scheme

The Government of India brings new schemes for the poor people, so that their standard of living can be improved. Family Pension Scheme

The Government of India provides a fixed amount under the pension scheme to a government employee after his retirement to save him from financial crisis. If the husband dies, his pension is provided to his wife, so that the family does not have to face financial problems. Fifty percent of the pension is provided to the wife. When the husband retires at the age of 60, he is given the full amount of pension.

Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana

The Central Government had launched the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana for workers in the interim budget of February 2019. Under this scheme, workers will be provided a pension of Rs 3000 per month on attaining the age of 60 years. About 15 crore people of the country will be benefited from this scheme. Maximum benefits will be provided to laborers working in real estate.

Family pension scheme linked to Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana

Till now the benefit of Family Pension Scheme was provided only to government employees. No such scheme was running in the private sector. To overcome this deficiency, the Government of India has linked the Family Pension Scheme with the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana. Now if someone is registered under the Prime Minister Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana , then his family will be provided pension benefits under the Family Pension Scheme.
